The Volunteers of America got a huge donation on Thursday in the form of a thousand pounds of ham and chicken.
It came from a group called "Help Other People Eat," also known as "Hope."
The meat will be used in the VOA's community kitchen on Larch Street in Lansing.
VOA spokesman Patrick Patterson tells us, nearly 47,000 people in Ingham County don't have enough food.
