LANSING, Mich. — Local volunteer Chris Chamberlain and Paul Brogan, Okemos, Perry, will soon be recognized for countless hours of services to the community.

On Thursday, August 22nd, 2019, local Modern Woodmen of America members will honor them as a hometown hero. The event will take place at Lansing City Market by the River, beginning at 6pm.

Chamberlain and Brogan will be recognized through Modern Woodmen's Hometown Hero Program for countless volunteer and donation projects across Lansing.

As part of the Hometown Hero Program, members of the Okemos & Perry Modern Woodmen Chapters will present Chamberlain and Brogan with a certificate and a $200 award grant to be donated to the charitable organization of the honoree's choice.

"The Hometown Hero Program allows us to thank those who give back to the community while encouraging other to volunteer," says Jessica Austin, local Modern Woodmen volunteer leader.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, the fraternal financial services organization's Summit chapters, chapters and youth services clubs provide opportunities for members to take part in socail and educational activities and volunteer projects to meet local needs.
