Sun, softball, and supporting a great cause, all converge at Holt High School this afternoon.
It's the 7th annual "Hit to Remember Double-header" between the Holt and Okemos girl's softball teams.
It's a fundraising effort for the Alzheimer's Association.
The team's wear similar jerseys, balloons are released in memory of Alzheimer's victims, and special announcements about the disease are read between innings.
It's the brain child of Holt coach Kim Reichard, in honor of her mother who passed away from Alzheimers, and the many families across Mid-Michigan who are touched by this mind robbing disease.
The first pitch of the "Hit to Remember Double-header" is 4 p.m. at Holt High School.
