MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Enjoy a campfire and listen to stories by the Lansing Storytellers before taking a walk through the evening woods with a naturalist at the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road in Meridian Township, on Saturday September 21st at 7 pm. There is a $3/person or $7/family fee due at the time of the program. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.
“The harvest moon is low in the sky and appears huge,” explained Nature Center Coordinator Kati Adams. “Before there was electricity, the extra light it gives off allowed farmers to stay in their fields harvesting crops well into the night.”
This year, the Lansing Storytellers will be telling stories in the time honored way, around the campfire.
Participants will also be able to roast marshmallows and take a guided walk through the woods.
