It’s always Earth Day at the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road in Okemos and they are looking for volunteers to help in the park on Saturday October 13th at 9-11 am. Volunteers will work in the flower beds, restore habitats and maintain trails. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.

“In order to maintain the natural beauty of our park, we have to remove invasive plants, maintain habitat areas and garden around the nature building,” said Nature Center Coordinator Kit Rich. “We are encouraging people to become stewards of Meridian Riverfront Park, home of the Harris Nature Center, by volunteering on this last Stewardship Morning for this year.”
