It was a golfing fundraiser all in the name of warming the hearts and the feet of boys and girls in the area. The Leo's Lodge and Leo's Outpost held its 14th annual golf outing on Monday to benefit Lansing Old Newsboys.

The Old Newsboys is a group of volunteers known for making a spoof newspaper as a fundraiser each December.

Members of the community were out in full gear raising money and awareness for the group.

The scramble raises money to buy shoes and boots for thousands of kids throughout the Lansing area. They raise about $10,000 at the golf outing each year and they're able to help more than 7,000 children between the funds raised on the course and those made by selling newspapers.

The Old Newsboys say they want to spread the word about their mission and reach out to the community in order to help more children every year.
