LANSING, Mich. — The Capital Area Humane Society would like to honor and thank the dedicated service men and women by providing free pet adoptions November 11-16.

Any veteran, reserve, and/or active duty service member with proper identification will qualify for the adoption promotion.

“We are so thankful for all of our veterans and service members who have dedicated their lives to protect our country,” said CAHS President and CEO, Julia Willson. “The Capital Area Humane Society recognizes the incredibly important role that pets play in our lives-they provide us with unconditional love, support, and a connection to the world. When a companion animal can help a veteran in exchange for a loving home, everyone wins!”

The standard adoption approval process applies to all adoptions. Adopters must provide proper military ID, bring all members of the household to meet the pet, a dog collar and leash, and/or a cat carrier. Temporary cat carriers will be available to purchase of $5.

For more information and to view all of the available pets, visit www.AdoptLansing.org or call (517) 626-6060.
