Four LIFC Players Named to USL League One Team of the Week

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Ignite FC midfielder Tumi Moshobane has been named the USL League One Player of the Week, while Stefan Cleveland, Rafa Mentzingen and Elma Nfor join him on the Team of the Week after helping LIFC record two victories in Week 19.

Moshobane recorded two goals, one assist and eight key passes across two victories for Lansing that helped propel the side into second place in the League One standings at the end of the week’s action, while also earning nomination for the league’s Goal of the Week for his strike against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.

Cleveland recorded five saves across two shutouts, while Mentzingen recorded one goal and one assist, completed eight dribbles and made nine recoveries. Nfor had one goal and one assist, while notching three key passes, nine recoveries and completing 41 of 55 passes overall.

Tumi Moshobane joins Rafa Mentzingen and Grant Stoneman as the only LIFC players to have earned Player of the Week honors in 2019, while nine Lansing players have received Team of the Week honors this regular season: Xavier Gomez, Kevin Coiffic, Ivo Cerda, Nick Moon, Stoneman, Cleveland, Moshobane, Mentzingen and Nfor.
