The 28th Annual Empty Bowls event is happening on Friday.
It runs from 11a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Troppo on East Michigan Avenue in Lansing and costs $20 per bowl.
That money gets you a light lunch of soup and bread along with a handcrafted bowl made by members of the Potters Guild and other local artists.
The event helps benefit the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
