Kellie’s Consignments and Mary Gajda Photography teamed up to cast for a 2017 Spokesmodel for both of their brands with the goal of empowering women to step out of their comfort zones, and have a little fun.
The two businesses asked local women of all ages to apply by email first, and were paired down to a “Sweet Sixteen." Those 16 women were then asked to create videos to make the next round. Many talked about
how it was their year to empower themselves, and how a woman’s beauty is both inside and outside. A final eight, (called the Elite 8), were chosen for the final round, which included a half day photo shoot, taking place at
Kellie’s Consignments. They received hair and makeup provided by Hair and Body Elements.
The winner of the casting call will represent both Kellie’s Consignments and Mary Gajda Photography as a brand ambassador in social media, advertising, and be seen on photographs shown on the walls of the business, as well as enjoy some fun perks. Kellie’s is currently undergoing renovations of the lower level, and Mary is the first to take up residency in that level doing beauty and boudoir photography.
“We are so happy with the diverse group of women who entered this casting call”, said Gajda. “We really think spreading the word about stepping out of your comfort zone, gaining new confidence and empowering other women is a movement. Once a woman does that, she is unstoppable. It’s also contagious, because when she shares her new power with other women- that attitude catches on. I feel Kellie (owner of Kellie’s) has already proven that and it’s time to share that message.”
