Downtown Lansing to become home of intimate steakhouse

Bowdie's Chophouse to open 2nd location in Lansing

After three years of business in Saugatuck, Mich., the team at Bowdie’s Chophouse has decided to open a second location in downtown Lansing. Bowdie’s Chophouse will be located in the Riverfront District at 320 E. Michigan Ave., former home of Knight Cap.

Bowdie’s Chophouse, which was recognized as “Best Restaurant” by Grand Rapids Magazine earlier this year, prides itself on serving high quality steaks, seafood, cocktails and wine. The menu can be viewed at their website: bowdieschophouse.com.

Bowdie’s is operated by Tyler Bowdish and Chef Jason Campbell. The pair is currently working on renovating the space to prepare for a November 1 opening. The small dining room will feel like a classic steakhouse with linen table cloths and candles. Next spring, they will open an outdoor sidewalk café.

“We are excited to welcome Bowdie’s Chophouse to the Riverfront District, said Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero. “An intimate steakhouse will be a great addition to the dining scene in downtown Lansing.”

Bowdie’s Chophouse will be open for dinner seven days a week from 5-11 p.m.
