EAST LANSING, Mich. — Students supporting other students is a developing concept in many major universities. At Michigan State University, through the efforts of The School’s Alumni Association and the student-run Executive Board, students of The School of Hospitality Business are receiving funding for scholarships, clubs and educational real-life experiences. But the more important question is how.
Destination Auction relies on donations from The School alumni and industry leaders. They solicit to hospitality companies all over the world and collect donation packages such as hotel stays, restaurant events, unique experiences and more. These donations are auctioned off during a live and silent auction to alumni, faculty and members of the community who are interested in getting great deals while supporting a student organization that gives back.
In addition to supporting the students of The School, Destination Auction is also committed to giving back to its community. Proceeds are also donated to the The School’s Alumni Association, Junior League of Lansing, the Capital Area Humane Society and The Firecracker Foundation.
Destination Auction relies on the support of its community and businesses that are interested in contributing to an ethical cause. The event is open to everyone to attend and very welcoming of package or monetary donations. If interested in attending the event, please refer to the information below.
