Despite the storms, Consumers Energy employees and community members will bundle up and hit the streets today, raising money to help needy families pay their heating bills.
Jackson's annual Walk for Warmth is scheduled for today.
Even though it's been a pretty mild winter, some families still can't pay their heating bills.
Hundreds are expected to show up for today's fundraiser.
The Walk for Warmth helps those who may not be eligible for state and federal heating programs.
Today's walk starts at noon at the Consumers Energy headquarters in downtown Jackson. Last year, more than $300,000 was raised to help families in need.
