Many people including pastors and church congregations gather in REO Town Sunday afternoon for the Capital Area Day of Prayer.
The group there praying for leaders, the city and our country to bring racial reconciliation to the area.
It was held at the Riverview Church and brought together christians from all religious backgrounds.
Their focus - racial unity.
"So we wanted to have a prayer meeting where christians can get together and pray specifically to God, to Jesus for direction on how we can be more of a force in this area of racial reconciliation," said Kirra Pope, event coordinator.
The theme of the event was learning to love people with their true love of Christ.
