The Charlotte Performing Arts Center is excited to present the Rhythm Society Orchestra on Saturday, October 13 at 7:00 PM. Make it a special night out with a pre-show dinner served at the Eaton Area Senior Center beginning at 5:30 PM.
Based in the Detroit area, RSO is a 15-piece dance band specializing in true vintage swing music and authentically re-creating the sights and sounds of the big band era. Their sound is heavily influenced by Count Basie and Harry James. RSO Crooner Paul King describes his style as "a mixture of Mel Torme, Joe Williams, and Frank Sinatra - with a dash of Cab Calloway thrown in". The group will present a USO themed show in authentic military uniforms.
Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for seniors (62+), and $5.00 for students. A group discount is available for orders of 10 or more tickets. Seating is reserved. A pre-show Chicken Champagne Dinner is also available for just $14.00 per person. Dinner is served at the Eaton Area Senior Center.
