CATA operates on MLK Day; some student routes reduced

Lansing, MI—As the community celebrates Martin Luther King’s legacy and college students get a day off from classes, CATA will operate as usual on Jan. 16, with the exception of some routes that serve the MSU campus.
MSU campus bus service-will operate at a reduced level on MLK Day. Regular weekday service provided by Routes 30- 33 and 39 will not operate. Campus service will follow the weekend schedule with Routes 34, 35, 36 and Lot Link starting at 9 a.m. The three routes will run every 30 minutes until approximately 2:30 a.m. Lot Link requires a phone call to (517) 432-8888 to request a ride to or from parking lot #83, 89 or 91 and concludes at 2 a.m.

Route 20-S. Harrison/Jolly/Dunckel-Buses will follow the Friday Spartan Service schedule with departures every 35 minutes most of the day. Service concludes at 10:25 p.m

Route 25-North Harrison-Buses will run every 60 minutes rather than every 30 minutes throughout the day and evening with service to MSU’s Ramp 5 on Red Cedar and Trowbridge until 10:10 p.m.

Route 26 Abbot/Chandler-Buses will follow the Friday Spartan Service schedule with departures every 10 minutes most of the day. Service concludes at 11:15 p.m.

Service to Lansing Community College-All downtown routes serving LCC will continue to travel to the main campus while Route 12-W. Michigan/Waverly/LCC West buses continue to serve LCC’s west campus as usual.
