Campaign aims to curb distracted driving

Posted

AT&T brought a virtual reality simulator to the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 for visitors to experience the real-life dangers of distracted driving.

"The State Capitol provides a great platform to communicate a critical message -distracted driving can be deadly," Jim Murray, president of AT&T said in a press release.

We were able to speak with Matt Resch, public affairs director for AT&T in Michigan in the video above.

AT&T is going on a three-day tour across Michigan with the simulator, hoping to reach out to people in Kalamazoo, Lansing and Detroit.

The tour is a part of AT&T's "It Can Wait"campaign which is a national movement asking drivers to take a pledge against distracted driving.
