Calling all ugly dogs: 27th annual ugly dog show in Williamston

It's okay to think you rdog is ugly. Although your pup may lack in the looks department, his love, playfulness and affection is what really makes him special. 

Let your dog shine by entering him or her into the 27th annual Ugly Dog Contest in Williamston. 

The contest will take place on Saturday, August 13 as part of Dog Days of Summer.

Same-day registration takes place between 3-5 p.m., at McCormick Park. The contest will start at 5 p.m. and prizes are awarded to the winners.

The contest includes 10 categories, including best dressed, best trick, longest ears, least behaved, looks most like owner, longest tail, friendliest, shortest dog, tallest dog, and of course- ugliest dog!

Registration costs $5 per dog for the first category, and $2 for additional categories. 

The dogs must be friendly, leashed and up-to-date on all rabies and distemper-parvo vaccinations.  All proceeds of the event will benefit the Ingham County Canine Unit. 

Dog Days of Summer is a weekend dedicated to celebrating our companions and also raising money to benefit non-profit canine organizations. This Contest is sponsored by the Delta Rho Chapter of ESA International.
