Police officers were honored at the state capitol Sunday for the second annual "Backing The Blue" event.
All police officers, their families, and the public were invited to attend.
There was food, face painting, a silent auction, and a balloon release for fallen officers.
“We want to thank the police for everything they do because they go out and put their lives out on the line every day,” said Jennifer Keller from the Blue Crew.
Officers from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Detroit, and Chicago attended the event.
Money raised will be donated to the Thin Blue Line of Michigan and the Fallen Officers Memorial Fund.
