BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Celebrate Dad on Father’s Day at Binder Park Zoo! HOPs with POPS is Sunday, June 16, a special day where dads receive half off regular admission when accompanied by their children or grandchildren, and the chance to enjoy a special “tap takeover” event featuring six craft brewery stations inside the zoo.
Guests (age 21+) can purchase a Best of I.H.S. Passport for $25 which includes 12 tasting tickets to sample 2 oz. pours at each station. The Passport will list locations for Alaskan Brewing, Silver Harbor Brewing, Revolution Brewing, Saugatuck Brewing, BrewDog and Latitude 42 Brewing – each pouring two styles of beer, with Cider Boys cider available at every station, too. The passport also lists a schedule of Brewer Chats and ZooKeeper Chats happening throughout the day.
Guests that visit all six stations and have their passport stamped can enter their completed passport into a drawing to win a major award – a collection of awesome items that every Dad will love and want: an Ogio rolling cooler, Alaskan Brewing inner tube, four rounds of golf at Binder Park Golf Course, lawn chair, two tickets to Bonteboktoberfest, a zoo family membership and more! The total value is over $600! Plus, a souvenir Alaskan Brewing Co. etched pint glass will be presented to each guest who submits a completed passport upon departure from the zoo, while supplies last.
Kids are invited to play along in the fun with a ‘kids only’ passport included in the purchase of an adult passport. Kids can search for zoo clues to collect stamps on their passport and enjoy age appropriate refreshments and treats along the way.
All guests over the age of 21 with valid ID, (passport not required) can purchase $6 full beer pours and $5 full cider pours at all six stations. The zoo is open from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm that day with the Tap Takeover event running from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
