Grand Ledge Night Lights Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

Night Lights Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in downtown Grand Ledge will be held on Friday December 6 starting at 7 p.m.

The 47th Annual Night Lights Christmas Parade is a spectacular night time parade packed full of lots of lights and music! It starts at the Grand Ledge Fire Barn and then makes its way straight down Bridge Street.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their appearance at the end of the parade, trading in their red sleigh for a red fire truck.

Christmas on the Farm

Christmas on the Farm at Waterloo Fam Museum will take place on December 7th from 10am to 4pm and December 8th from Noon to 4pm.

This re-creation of the holiday's traditions will include tours of the 15 room farmhouse adorned in decorations from the period and the Dewey School Museum. Hand-crafted greens, home-made baked goods and gift items will be available for purchase. Refreshments and live music will be on hand.

Admission-Adults $5, Seniors (62+) $4, Children 5-12 yrs $2, under 5 yrs. and WAHS members get in free.

Williamston Holiday Light Parade
The parade steps off at 6 pm, with illuminated floats and vehicles, marching band, animals, and more! David Andrews of WILX TV, and Mark Buzzitta of 89.7 FM WLNZ, will be announcing the parade. Grand Marshal is Williamston Mayor Jim DeForest.

After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will help with the lighting of the tree in front of City Hall, 161 East Grand River in downtown. The kids will want to bring their lists and visit with Santa immediately after the tree lighting. They will be in Keller’s Plaza, 107 South Putnam.

Activities are being added every day, but here are a few: kiddie ferris wheel and carnival games, make a glass paperweight, the Annual “Fill the Williamston Cop Car”, music, toy drive, used book sale at the Community Center, live theatre, animal shelter drive, movie theatre, and much more! There are extended holiday shopping hours with many businesses offering popcorn, hot cocoa, hot cider, etc. Come early and browse around town!

The event is free to attend, and it is free to have an entry in the parade. This is a great way to get word out about your service organization, business, church, or just a great way to have fun! There are entry awards in seven categories: Best Animal Entry, Best Commercial Entry, Best Decorated Vehicle, Best Musical Entry, First Time Award, Most Unique, and Spirit of Christmas. Applications are available at www.williamston.org, or by contacting the Chamber office.

Grass Lake Christmas Festival of Lights
Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Whistle Stop Park Depot, 215 E. Michigan Ave. in Grass Lake

It’s a full first weekend in December in Grass Lake, starting with the 10th edition of the Festival of Lights, brought to you by the Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The day starts with the Cookie Quest at the Whistle Stop Park Depot. Tour participating businesses and eat their cookies until 1 p.m. (or until they’re all gone).

There will be raffle baskets, a silent wreath auction and photo opportunities with Santa. You can eat lunch with Kris Kringle from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The day ends with a parade that heads east through downtown, ending at Lake Street.

Skate with Santa Party is on Sunday, Dec. 8th 2:30-4:30pm. Adm is $8, or only $4 if you wear a Santa Hat! Along with Skating and Laser Tag will be the Game Room for a chance to win some really cool prizes! When you get hungry check out our Snack Bar! Pictures with Santa are Free so don’t forget your camera! $4 rental skates, Skate Mates are $5 + deposit.
