LANSING, Mich. — Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) is pleased to present the “Seniors in the Know Expo” on Thursday, June 27 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Eaton Area Senior Center (804 S. Cochran Ave., Charlotte.) The event will feature remarks from Scott Teeter from the Office of the Attorney General and Chairman of the Michigan Elder Abuse Task Force. A panel of local experts will be available for a question and answer session on responding to and preventing exploitation and abuse of older adults. Additional agencies will be staffing resource tables, and refreshments are provided.
TCOA is pleased to be working closely with RSVP-Lansing, End Violent Encounters (EVE) Inc, SIREN/Eaton Shelter, and Legal Services of South Central Michigan to increase awareness and improve collaboration and response to elder abuse. Additional partners in planning the symposium include the Alzheimer’s Association, the Senior CommUnity Care of Michigan PACE program, and Eaton County Adult Protective Services.
