OKEMOS, Mich. — Curious preschool children will enjoy hands-on science exploration activities at the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, in Meridian Township on Thursday, June 6th at 1-2 pm. This month’s Preschool Science Exploration theme is Fun with Fireflies. The program is designed for 4-5 year old children. The fee is $4/child and is due at the time of the program. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.
“Like all children, preschoolers love chasing fireflies,” said Senior Park Naturalist Kati Adams, “and while we won’t be catching them in the middle of the afternoon, the children will have fun making firefly discoveries.”
Each Preschool Science class has a different science topic and will always include a walk in addition to the science activities.
