LANSING, Mich. — Help celebrate spuds at Potato Day at the Capitol Tuesday, June 4th from 11am-2pm on the North Lawn of the State Capitol.

We’re serving up FREE FRESH CUT FRIES for everyone plus gourmet potato dishes courtesy of Ingham Intermediate School District’s Culinary Arts & Hospitality program. There will also be free Michigan made potato chips from Better Made, Great Lakes Chips, and Uncle Ray’s, and opportunities to learn about one of Michigan’s largest commodities.

Michigan is the nation’s leading producer of potatoes for potato chip processing. In fact, 1 in 4 bags of potato chips in the country are made from Michigan potatoes! Michigan harvests nearly 2 billion poundsof potatoes annually with a value of over $178 million. Michigan potatoes are grown in over 40 counties all across the state, from the top of the Upper Peninsula to the Ohio/Indiana border.

Join us for a fun and festive afternoon Tuesday, June 4th from 11am-2pm on the Capitol lawn as we celebrate our spectacular spuds!
