MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, MI — Glide along the moonlit trails of the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road in Meridian Township, as you ski or snowshoe through the sparkling snow on Saturday January 19th from 6-9 pm. This event will be repeated on Saturday February 9th and 23rd. There is a $3/person fee if you bring your own equipment and $10/person fee if you borrow our equipment, which includes a head lamp. There will be additional head lamps available to rent for $2 if you bring the rest of your own equipment. Please contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866 to register and reserve your skis and snowshoes if needed.

“The park is usually closed at night,” said Nature Center Coordinator Kit Rich, “but it’s so beautiful to ski in the moonlight, that we are staying open on these designated evenings.”

Flashlights and head lamps are recommended and participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. There will be head lamps available to rent at the nature center.
