The Senior Alliance for Education (S.A.F.E.), in partnership with the Diocese of Lansing, is pleased to host a free educational event from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 at St. Thomas Aquinas School, 915 Alton Rd, East Lansing.
Seniors, adult family members and caregivers are invited to the Navigating the Older Years event, featuring guest speakers and resources on topics of importance to older adults. Mary Mareck, MSW, will give a presentation entitled “If You Are ‘Planning’ on Getting Old.” Other topics include information on the Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program and addressing myths about Hospice. A variety of vendors and exhibitors will also be sharing information throughout the day. This FREE event includes breakfast generously provided by Grand Haven Living Center. Free hearing and blood pressure screenings will also be available.
