Now that we've gotten rid of those 90 degree temperatures, it's finally starting to be the perfect weather for a big bowl of chili. Tomorrow, you have the opportunity to try several different recipes at the Board of Water and Light Chili Cook-Off. It will be held at Adado Riverfront Park from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Also happening tomorrow, the Urban Beat Event Center is hosting the longest running live hip-hop event, and if you're a singer you're in luck, because there will also be an open mic. Sign up begins at 8 p.m. and the event starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are five dollars for general admission, and ten dollars for VIP.
