It's hard to believe that tomorrow marks the somber 17th anniversary of the attack on the twin towers on September 11, 2001. To honor the heroes of that day Holt is hosting a 9-11 Hero run.
The run helps raise money for healing hearts with horses and the Great Lakes Burn Camp. The event starts with a short remembrance of the attacks at the corner of Holt and Aurelius at 5:15 pm. The 5K starts at 6:30. And don't worry, if you can't run, walkers are welcome as well.
Registration online may be closed but you can sign up on race day from 5-6:15 PM, and if you are feeling generous, registration is free if you donate $50.
