There is a local event going on this weekend bringing together food and dogs.
Tomorrow is dog appreciation day, and a "Dog Appreciation Bash" will be at Chick-fil-A in Okemos starting at 11 a.m.
The free event is loaded with fun activities for the entire family. There will be a balloon artist, faced painting, raffles, and giveaways, and a "Look Like a Cow" dog costume contest.
The Ingham County Animal Shelter will also have some of it's adoptable friends at the event.
It runs until 2 p.m. and donations will be accepted to help the animal shelter.
