LANSING, Mich. — Nothing says “summer in Michigan” like an evening around the campfire! Enjoy one of the best parts of camping while staying close to home by attending the All about Bats campfire program the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road on Saturday, June 22nd at 7 pm. There is a $3/person or $7/family fee due at the time of the program. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.
“The summer skies are full of bats swooping and feeding as the sun sets,” said Senior Park Naturalist Kati Adams. “This is a good thing and the campfire program will bust some common myths while sharing information on bat habits and characteristics.”
Participants will also be roasting marshmallows, making s’mores and taking a guided walk through the evening woods.
