8th Annual Race Series – Hunger Heroes Set for Saturday September 14th

WILLIAMSTON, Mich. — Always a family and runner favorite, the Hunger Heroes Race Series, to benefit local nonprofit Weekend Survival Kits, is happening on Saturday Morning, September 14^th at McCormick Park in Williamston. “We are thrilled with the early sign-ups and look forward to having a great race series,” shared Race Director Traci Weston.

The 5K and 10K races, chip-timed, are great for runners of all skills – this is our run/walk which has a scenic route through the Williamston area. CrossFit is a popular fitness regime which has been paired with the 5K Route – we call it a 5K Gone Bad. Each CrossFit stop will be challenging and have a monitored physical challenge. Annual Race Series Special Guests to Participate in Kid’s Fun Run
We are thrilled to announce that the super hero representatives from the League of Enchantment will be in attendance at the Hunger Heroes Race Series. The League of Enchantment is a local nonprofit which provides inspirational visits to hospitals, schools, and other places where children can meet their favorite heroes up close and personal. The League of Enchantment heroes are planning on running the Fun Run with the kids.

There is still time to sign-up online: Deadline is midnight on Wednesday, Sept 11^th. If you miss the chance to sign-up in advance, please come join us at the park on Friday night from 6pm-8pm and Saturday morning starting at 7am.
