Ingham County Animal Control is reducing dog adoption fees by 50% because the shelter is at capacity.
Shelter director John Dinon says the number of dogs typically rises as the weather improves. He says the lower fees should help get the number of dogs down to a manageable level.
The fees will be cut in half as long as the shelter is at or near capacity.
The shelter is open from noon to 6P.M. Tuesdays and Wednesays and from 11A.M. to 4P.M. Thursday through Saturday.
