500 6th-grade students will receive scholarships to Lansing Community College.
The HOPE Scholarship program is an education and crime prevention initiative that is sponsored by the Lansing Police Department, the Lansing School District and Michigan State University.
Each student will receive free tuition at LCC if they graduate high school.
The scholarships will be given out from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at LCC's downtown campus.
