LANSING, Mich. — Winter storm on the way tonight into the day Saturday. Dry this morning with some sunshine early. Clouds fill in through the day with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. Snow arrives late tonight around midnight and will continue through the morning hours Saturday. Snow will be heavy at times and it will be wet and slushy causing slick travel. Snowfall accumulation will be between 3-6" for most with isolated locations seeing up to 7" possible. Most of the snow will fall before noon Saturday. Warmer air moves in Saturday afternoon and snow flips over to rain/ drizzle for a few hours before cold air returns and rain changes back over to snow Saturday night. Lake effect snow will linger through the day Sunday and will be cold with highs in the low 20s. Monday though Thursday will be dry with a fair amount of sunshine. Temperatures moderate next week with highs in the 20s Monday and Tuesday then warming in the 30s Wednesday and Thursday.
