LANSING, Mich. — Rain showers moving in Friday night are a good indication of what the coming weekend will bring.
Sure enough, the rain will be the talk of the forecast this weekend with a majority of our Saturday highlighted with rain showers.
A rumble of thunder can't be ruled out completely tomorrow but most of what we'll see is simply a steady dousing of rain unlike anthing we've seen over at least the past month.
The tail end of the weekend brings the chance for snow, but most of the accumulation occurs well north of the viewing area. In fact, we'll be hard-pressed to find even trace amounts here before things wrap up on Sunday.
Temperatures are back into the middle and upper 40s Saturday, but the dropoff is quick to follow. Highs for all of next week are only in the low to middle 30s.
It will be a relatively dry week past the coming two days, with outside flurry chances expected mid-week.
Expecting that none of the snow showers early Sunday end up sticking, we could hold onto snow-free ground conditions for the entirety of next week even with the colder air.
