Warmth Sticks Around through the Weekend

Dry with plenty of sun for several more days

LANSING, Mich. — Warmer than normal air will continue to be the story over the next 7-10 days.

That, and the great amount of sunshine with dry conditions, will prevail over this period into middle October.

Wednesday is a breezy day and back in the 60s, and the mercury is dialed back a touch on Thursday. By the weekend we'll flirt with the 70s daily, with Friday and Saturday coming in the mildest.

Early next week will remain above average in the temperature department, but we're watching closely to see what transpires with Hurricane Delta in the Gulf of Mexico.

Depending on the strength, position and timing of Delta's U.S. landfall this weekend, we could see some residual showers by Monday and Tuesday.

Right now I'm going with scattered showers Monday and partly cloudy Tuesday, but I'll be updating this forecast throughout the week.
