LANSING, Mich. — Sunshine continues today and it starts to warm up. Highs reach the mid 80s this afternoon and it should be nice with low humidity and a southwest breeze at 5-15 MPH. Clear skies remain overnight with lows in the upper 50s. Not as cool as we have been, but it will still be good sleeping weather if you want to open up the windows.

We will start to feel hot on Friday. Highs reach the upper 80s and we will see a slight increase in humidity, but it won’t feel oppressive. Sunshine will stick around through the day. Saturday stays dry with mostly sunny skies and it will be hot with highs reaching the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Mainly dry this weekend. There is a weakening front expected to move through the state Sunday. Right now it looks like most of the rain fizzles out before it reaches Mid-Michigan but a few showers may last. Best time frame for showers would be Sunday afternoon, but it looks like many will miss out on the rain this weekend. Partly cloudy Sunday and it stays hot with highs in the upper 80s.

The trend of above average temperatures then continues into next week. Partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s Monday. It stays hot with temperatures in the upper 80s Tuesday and Wednesday under mostly sunny skies.
