LANSING, Mich. — Cold this morning, but we will be warming up into the 40s by late this afternoon. Increasing clouds expected today, but we should stay dry through the day, rain holds off until late this evening. Along with increasing clouds we'll see increasing winds from the southeast at 10-20 MPH picking up to 15-25 MPH tonight with gusts over 35 MPH possible. Rain will be scattered overnight with low temperatures hovering in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. Mild Friday with a high near 50 degrees. Scattered showers expected through the day tomorrow with widespread heavy rain arriving Friday night. Heavy rain will continue into Saturday morning with 1-2" of rain possible. Late Saturday morning into the afternoon temperatures cool down and rain changes over to freezing rain or sleet and will lead to messy weather and travel conditions. Some ice accumulation will be possible Saturday. Power outages and hazardous travel will be possible. That wintry mix may change over to snow Saturday night before it all ends early Sunday morning. Quiet Sunday afternoon with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 30s. Stay with Fox 47 for updates on what to expect Saturday.
