Today's Forecast: Mostly cloudy with light snow arriving this afternoon/evening

LANSING, Mich. — The forecast: Flurries and light snow showers can create slick spots on roadways this evening as temperatures drop several degrees below the freezing mark. Additional accumulations are to be on the order of an inch or less. Additional flurries and a few snow showers will be around on Tuesday as well, particularly during the morning and then again later in the day/evening. No big storm systems, however, are in sight for the next several days. A colder week is ahead with daytime highs generally in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy. Periodic flurries and light snow showers particularly during the afternoon and evening. Light accumulations Breezy. Highs in the upper 20s, wind chills in the teens. Winds west at 10 to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Isolated flurries. Lows in the lower 20s. West northwest winds at 5-15 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy. A few flurries possible early on. Breezy. Highs in the upper 20s. West to southwest winds at 10-15 mph, becoming breezier through the evening.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny. Breezy and somewhat milder with highs in the middle 30s.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with light flurries possible. Highs in the lower 30s.
