LANSING, Mich. — Heat is the story this week, and in all likelihood it will be next week, as well. Temperatures in the 7-day will top out in the 90s each and every day.
Humidity could be worse, as we've got an odd blend of dry, Canadian air to go with our high sun angle and abundant sunshine. We always have at least some moisture since we're surrounded by the Great Lakes, but this prolonged stretch is about as close as we'll get to the desert southwest.
For that period, lots of sunshine and above average temperatures will prevail with dry conditions. The next chance for rain looks like it may not come until early next week, so lawns and gardens will need plenty of watering.
