LANSING, Mich. — Sunshine returns today with cool temperatures sticking around for one more day before we warm up through the weekend. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy today with highs in the mid 70s this afternoon. A few more clouds drift in during the peak of daytime heating, but it will stay dry. We should clear back out overnight trending mostly clear. Another chilly night with lows falling into the low 50s.
Mostly sunny Thursday and it will be a few degrees warmer with highs in the upper 70s. Quiet weather continues Friday with highs back up in the low 80s which is where they should be for early August. Friday will be another mostly sunny day.
Saturday we continue to warm up feeling like summer again with highs in the mid 80s and increasing humidity. We should stay dry through the day with one final day of mostly sunny skies. Sunday will see a few isolated showers and thunderstorms. It won't be a washout with some sunshine at times and temperatures in the mid 80s. From there active weather sticks around through early next week.
It won't be a washout, but a chance for showers and storms will last through Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms most likely Monday afternoon and it will feel sticky with highs in the upper 80s. Tuesday stays warm with highs in the upper 80s and a chance for a few evening showers.
