LANSING, Mich. — It was a fantastic day across Mid-Michigan with seasonable temps and lower humidity. If you liked the weather today, you are going to love it tomorrow as it looks identical, except we will have even more sunshine. High pressure settles in tomorrow bringing drier air, which is why we won't see as much cloudiness. Nice weather sticks with us Tuesday, but we do start to heat up as a southerly flow develops ahead of an approaching cold front. Clouds thicken up Tuesday night and Wednesday starts off under mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms arriving by the afternoon. The front slowly pushes through bringing heavy rain and continued storms into Thursday morning before it exits to the east. From Thursday onward, we see the heat and humidity really start to build, eventually sending our temps into the lower 90s by next weekend with heat indices likely approaching the 100-degree mark.
