LANSING, Mich. — After a few gloomy days, we’re finally looking ahead to warmer temperatures and sunshine today. We’re waking up to some cloud cover around the region early this morning, but the clouds will thin out throughout the morning, leading to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the low 50s today.
The clouds build back in tonight turning mostly cloudy with lows dropping into the mid 30s by daybreak on Thursday. There will be a system passing by just to our south tomorrow, but most of the rain should stay south of the state line. Plan for mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 40s.
High pressure will build in for Friday and skies will once again become mostly sunny. Despite the sunshine, we’ll be chilly with highs only climbing into the low to mid 40s.
Saturday looks pleasant and the forecast should cooperate if you have Halloween plans. Plan for partly cloudy skies and highs near 50 degrees Saturday afternoon. The weather turns cold on Sunday with falling temperatures expected. Sunday’s highs will likely be in the low to mid 40s in the early morning, and then temperatures will drop into the 30s during the day with rain and snow showers possible.
We return to sunshine on Monday and Tuesday with skies becoming partly cloudy. Monday will be chilly with highs in the mid 40s. Warming up again for election day on Tuesday with highs in the mid 50.
