LANSING, Mich. — High pressure is building into the Great Lakes Region, which will lead to a mostly sunny day. Slightly milder air is also moving into the area today. We’ll see temperatures warming into the low to mid 40s this afternoon, but a brisk west wind will keep wind chills in the 20s this morning and 30s this afternoon. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight and lows will drop into the upper 20s by daybreak on Thursday.
Tomorrow will start off sunny, and then a few more clouds are expected to develop throughout the day. Skies will become partly cloudy Thursday afternoon with highs in the lower 40s. Breezy conditions will also continue into tomorrow, so wind chills will once again be stuck in the 20s and 30s.
At this time, Friday looks primarily dry for Mid-Michigan. There is a system that will be tracking close by to the north, so we’ll have to watch this closely to see if any light precipitation will sneak into our area. For right now, Friday looks partly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s.
The weekend looks fairly quiet with partly cloudy skies on Saturday and increasing cloud cover for Sunday. There will be a system passing through the Ohio Valley this weekend, but precipitation looks to remain south of the Great Lakes. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s which is near normal for early December.
