LANSING, Mich. — Mostly cloudy early today with the potential for a few rounds of storms. Late this morning/ early this afternoon storms may drop south with heavy rain, but no severe storms are expected. There is likely a break in the rain for a short time today before a second round of storms then moves in late this afternoon/ evening. Storms this evening may be severe with strong damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado being the main threats. Storms will move south after midnight and we will be drying out towards sunrise Wednesday. Highs this afternoon in the low 80s. Lows overnight in the upper 50s. Turning mostly sunny Wednesday and it will be much cooler with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Chilly Wednesday night with lows in the 40s. Back into the low 70s Thursday with mostly sunny skies.
