LANSING, Mich. — Showers and thunderstorms will wrap up overnight Friday, with minimal isolated shower activity by Saturday morning. Clearing will occur throughout the day.

Sunshine returns as soon as Saturday evening, and the heat is on for much of the next week. Highs will easily reach the middle to upper 80s with some low 90s expected before the week is done.

Heading into Independence Day weekend conditions look hot and dry across the Great Lakes. Lots of sunshine will accompany the hot temperatures. It'll be a great stretch to hop in a pool or lake!
