Severe thunderstorms spawned by a storm system that pummeled the Midwest have damaged homes in southern Michigan and brought scattered flooding and power outages to the state.
Dave Jenkins of Niles told the South Bend Tribune he was "in complete shock" after winds blew out windows in his house Tuesday night, sending shards of glass through the home and mud flying in.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Logsdon says a damage survey team went out Wednesday to determine whether the damage in the area was caused by a tornado or straight-line winds.
