LANSING, Mich. — Quite the scorcher across the region today and it looks like we will stay that way tomorrow w/ some chances for storms ahead of an approaching cold front.

For tonight, strong thunderstorms to our west will head this way while weakening, but we will see some brief downpours, and rumbles of thunder as well, which will stick with us into the pre-dawn hours of tomorrow morning. After that initial chance for rain, we turn partly sunny ahead of another batch of showers and storms looking to move through by tomorrow evening/overnight hours just ahead of the front. Highs tomorrow will once again climb into the upper 80's with heat index values in the 90's.

The cold front swings through early Tuesday morning and begins to usher in drier and more seasonable air behind it, setting up a pleasant workweek with lots of sun and temps in the low to mid 80's each day. These temps in the 80s will feel more comfortable as well with humidity remaining on the lower side compared to today and Monday.

Next weekend it looks like we start to heat back up with more chances for active weather.
