LANSING, Mich. — Warm and humid again today with highs in the mid to upper 80s later this afternoon. Isolated showers and storms possible early with most of the activity staying mainly west of Lansing. Showers will linger through the lunch hour before fizzling out later this afternoon. From there we will see a mix of clouds and sun and it will feel warm and muggy.
Partly cloudy tonight with lows in the mid 60s. A broken line of thunderstorms expected to move through late tonight/ early Wednesday morning before the sun rises. Some storms overnight may be strong with gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Storms will clear out by the time the sun rises Wednesday. Partly to mostly sunny Wednesday and it will be hot with highs around 90 degrees.
Mostly sunny Thursday with highs in the low 90s. Staying dry through the day Thursday before showers and thunderstorms move in late Thursday night into Friday. Scattered thunderstorms then continue through the day Friday before drying out early Saturday morning. It will be cooler on Friday as the front moves through. Highs reaching the mid 80s Friday with falling humidity once the rain ends.
Cooler and less humid for this weekend. It will feel refreshing with temperatures in the mid 70s Saturday and Sunday, and will be closer to seasonal averages for late August. Thankfully, it will also be far less humid and will feel comfortable outside. It stays dry through the weekend with mostly sunny skies. Partly cloudy Monday with highs in the upper 70s. Another chance for scattered storms Monday night into Tuesday.
