LANSING, Mich. — A mix of sun and clouds today and it will be cold with highs in the low 30s. Expect increasing clouds that this afternoon into this evening before snow arrives tonight. Snow will begin around 10 P.M. and increase in coverage and intensity through early Thursday morning. Most of the snow will fall between 11 P.M. to 5 A.M. with 1-3" of accumulation. Thursday morning's commute may be slippery so plan for extra time on the roads to be safe. From there we will see light scattered snow continue off and on through the day Thursday and it will be cold with high temperatures in the upper 20s. We could pick up an additional 1-2" of snowfall by Friday morning for a grand total of about 2-4" for most locations. Friday is mainly dry aside from a few flurries with partly cloudy skies and highs near 30 degrees. This weekend is dry with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 30s. Some snow will be possible late Sunday night into early Monday. Slightly warmer early next week with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
